I have noticed, whenever given food choice to Alex he always goes for protein food over anything else (beans, all meats, yogurt etc)
As kids eat intuitively, they know what their bodies needs and I suppose due to demands of growth and development, eating protein food is important part of their diet therefore my meaty soup should meet his expectations and needs ππ
Ingredients:
– 3 turkey stakes (approx 370 grams)
– 2 medium potatoes
– 1 medium size sweet potato
– handful of baby corn
– 2 large parsnips
– 3 medium carrots
– half of broccoli with peeled stalk (to nutritious to get wasted π)
– tbsp of ghee butter
Cut all ingredients into cubes. To speed the cooking process I like to pulse blend all ingredients for even smaller pieces, heat will get through and you can safe a bit of timeπ
Cover all your blended ingredients with hot water and cook until cooked through (approx 25min)
Add ghee butter and blend further
Consistency of the soup is on a thicker side, I like to keep it that way as Alex can scoop good amount of it into his spoon, which makes him motivated to carry on mastering his ‘spoon control skill’ π Just add more if you need to.
You can make up to 7 jars of approx 280 ml. I like to freeze them in glass jars to have an option for a quick, healthy meal whilst having busy day.
To defrost it just put the jar into cold water in the pan, gradually bring the water into boil and warm the food up until defrosted and warm.
Hope your little one will enjoy itππ
