Mind and Body Pram Walking to me is much more then 4 weeks session of effective walking journey.
It’s the way of spending time, it’s a way to walk to local shops, it’s a way I walk the route to playgroups, doctors, way of getting my boy to sleep.
We do spend a lot of time outdoors, I always choose walking over driving if I can. It is the only way I can get my daily exercise/movement in, without thinking about it or preparing to much to it.
I love the fact I have my exercise available to me the minute I opened the front door π
It’s currently the only way I can focus and mindfully exercise.
I love all forms of exercise, I use to train very regularly and didn’t need to encourage myself to workouts, but since becoming mum, the amount of new commitments and task to do became so long I never felt focus enough to have a meaningful workout for my body and mind (apart from very short session to balance my tired mum body)π My head was always occupied what next needs to be done ππ€ so I stopped enjoying my planned exercise in this moment in my life, and the minute I stop enjoying I can’t do it any longer, it does not make sense to me and does not make me feel goodπ€
I use to like to complete a type of ‘killer workouts’ but then I had a time to recover them, I could not imagine to do it now, not because I don’t like it but I feel I need to safe my energy and spread across the whole day, I need to feel energised for my son to be able to look after him and meet his constantly raising demands ππ
That’s why effective walking with pram become my number one way of exercise π and using my Pro-x walker resistance tool attached to my waist is giving me the whole body workout πͺ without even thinking about itπ
It feels effortless and yet it is highly effective, it’s accessable and enjoyable. With every arm swing I open my chest which needs to be open, with every arm swing I engage my upper body, my back is straight, my posture improve, my core is working and the whole lower bodyπ€©
I can stop and add some resistance exercise if I feel like it or go for more cardiovascular option and challenge my heart rate, I can run with it if I want to or just stroll and mindfully feel every arm swing against that resistance my walking tool is giving me πͺ
Most importantly I have a focus, it feels like I have me time with my baby in front of me, most of the time a napping baby ππ and the fresh air…ah that’s the big benefit too for both of us..fresh air for fresh mind and refreshed body…that’s why I call it Mind and Body Pram Walking β€οΈπ and I love sharing it with other mumsβ€οΈπ
