Home made hummus – nutritious option for the little ones

Home made hummus is a great option for lunch or supper for little ones. Main ingredients of hummus (chickpeas and tahini) are full of goodness. If you would like to find out more about their health benefits click on the tags below that post.


1 red pepper (leave few pepper sticks for a side food)

400g of chickpeas

2 tbsp of tahini

1-2 tbsp of rapeseed oil

40ml of lemon juice

2 cloves of garlic

salt and pepper (optional up to your taste, I personally still avoid salt in Alex food if I can, but will add some for myself)

As a side food I used cooked carrot, parsnip, vegetables sticks, and bits of red pepper

Chopped garlic into small pieces and place into food processor, add all remaining ingredients and blend them until smooth

Served with your favourite vegetables sticks
